Exclusive: Woman Struck By Trooper Working Biden Motorcade Speaks From Hospital

The woman that was struck by a Delaware State Trooper this afternoon is speaking out.

This afternoon at approximately 4:31 p.m. a vehicle operated by a Rockford Park woman was involved in an accident with a Delaware State Police vehicle.

As a result of the crash, Route 141 roadway is currently closed between Faulk Road and Children Drive for the crash to be investigated. West Park Drive remains open.

Officials have yet to confirm reports that the Trooper involved in the accident was working a special detail assigned to Joe Biden, however, multiple sources have reported this to be the case.

The driver of the vehicle that was struck by the Trooper has reached out to First State Update via her daughter from her bedside in the hospital.

The woman reports that she believes the trooper was trying to catch up to the motorcade when she was struck.  “My mom was coming down 202 to exit towards Augustine cut off. She had a green light. She was going straight and he came out of nowhere and hit her on the driver’s side”, said the woman’s daughter.  She was headed home.

When asked how her mother is doing, the daughter said she is waiting for the results of a CAT scan. We are still in the hallway on a stretcher. She has a lump on her head and is in a neck brace.

This is a developing story
