Horse And Buggy Accident Claims At Least 3, 4 To Trauma Center

Little Britain Township – Just before 8:00 Monday morning rescue crews from the Quarryville Fire Company responded to Little Britain Road N & Black Road for a motor vehicle accident involving a horse and buggy.

While en route crews learned that a dump truck was involved in the accident.

First arriving crews reported that four patients had succumbed at the scene. Later reports from the scene indicated that three had succumbed at the scene. At this point, there is still conflicting reports on the number of fatalities.

A mass casualty incident has been declared which brought additional resources from surrounding counties and states.

All patients are reported to be children.

Four patients have been transported to Lancaster General Hospital with very serious injuries.
