Wilmington – Just before 3:00 Saturday afternoon rescue crews from the Wilmington Fire Department along with St. Francis Medics responded to the intersection of Maple Street and S Lincoln Street for a motor vehicle crash.
Witnesses at the scene tell First State Update that they believe the vehicle struck a utility pole, sending the pole across the street.
Radio reports indicate that one patient was transported to St. Francis Hospital shortly after crews arrived on scene.
