Carney Sends Delaware National Guard To Assistance In DC

Governor Carney has announced that members of the Delaware National Guard would be sent to Washington after yesterday’s events at the Capitol Building.

In a statement posted on Facebook Carney said that the Guard was being sent to support law enforcement.

“After conversations with DC authorities, I am deploying members of the Delaware National Guard to Washington to support law enforcement and ongoing security efforts after the breach of the Capitol.
Join me in thanking members of the Delaware National Guard – and all of our first responders – for their service to our state and country.”
