Crews Responding To Overturned Boat In Delaware City, Two In The Water

Delaware City – Crews are currently responding to the Delaware River at the Branch Canal in the area of the refinery pier for an overturned watercraft.

Crews en route to the scene are being told that there are two people in the water.

Update: Crews reporting that they have a visual on the two subjects. The two subjects are clinging to the pier.

Update – Crews have launched a boat – One tech in the water – Contact made with both subjects. Subjects confirming that only two were in the boat.

Update – Crews attempting to get the subjects on the boat. Ambulances, medics being directed to the Delaware City dock.

Update – Crews working to throw a flotation device to one of the subjects.

Update – Crews reporting that tech and both subjects now out of the water. Crews headed to the Delaware City dock.

Update – 2:15 PM – One patient has been transported to the hospital. The second subject refused service.
