Fallen Delmarva Worker Honored With Lineman’s Funeral In Newark

Last Friday, January 8, 2021, a Delmarva Power employee passed away while working in Elsmere.

When rescue crews arrived at the scene on South Dupont Road in Elsmere they found the 57-year-old worker unresponsive.

The worker, whose name was not released by the company, was in the lift bucket when crews arrived on scene.

Despite efforts to save the worker he succumbed at the scene.

Just before 12:40 on Wednesday afternoon, the worker’s funeral procession was honored by a phalanx of bucket trucks and coworkers linedup along E Main Street.
