State Police Conducting Criminal Investigation After Death, Few Details Released

Delaware State Police are currently investigating a death that occurred Saturday afternoon, according to Public Information Officer, Corporal/3 Heather Pepper.

Pepper said on January 9, 2021, at approximately 3:52 p.m., troopers responded to the 800 block of Sorghum Mill Road for a criminal investigation. During the investigation, a 75-year-old male victim was transported to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

Officials have not released details surrounding the man’s death or if anyone has been charged in the death.

Pepper would only say that there are no safety concerns or threats as a result of this incident.
