Police: Man Facing 2nd Degree Assault After Dover Shooting

The Dover Police Department has arrested a 30-year-old man for a shooting that occurred early Saturday morning, according to Public Information Office Sergeant Mark Hoffman.

Hoffman said at approximately 8:13 a.m., officers responded to the 400 Block of River Road for a shooting. Officers located a 31-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the leg. The victim was transported to Bayhealth Kent General Hospital for treatment of his injury.

Officers investigating the shooting developed Allen Durham as the suspect and located him in a nearby residence, according to Hoffman. He was arrested without incident.

Durham was released after posting a $32,000 secured bond on the following charges:
-Possession of Firearm by Person Prohibited
-Possession of Firearm During Commission of Felony
-Assault 2nd Degree
