Man Airlifted To Hospital After Crash In Bear Late Friday

At approximately 10:00 p.m. New Castle County Paramedics (NCCEMS), Volunteer Hose Company of Middletown, and Delaware State Police Aviation were dispatched to the 3700 block of Summit Bridge Rd in Bear for reports of a motor vehicle collision with entrapment, according to NCCEMS Assistant PIO Emily Mallon.

Mallon said upon arrival, New Castle County Paramedics found one patient still in the vehicle, however, the patient was not trapped. An approximately 30-year-old male was treated for a possible head injury. He was transported to Christiana Hospital via Delaware State Police Aviation accompanied by New Castle County Paramedics in serious condition.

Delaware State Police is investigating the crash.
