Police: Man Shot While Putting His Baby In The Car, Woman In Custody

New Castle County Police have arrested a 22-year-old woman for in yesterday’s shooting in  Claymont.

Officials said yesterday, at approximately 2:44 P.M., officers from the New Castle County Division of Police were dispatched to the unit block of Denham Avenue in Knollwood for reports of shots fired. Upon their arrival, the officers discovered a 31-year-old male suffering from gunshot wounds to his upper body. Officers rendered aid, and the victim was airlifted to a local area hospital in critical condition.

Detectives later learned that the victim of this incident was shot while he was placing his infant child inside his vehicle, according to police. The child was not injured.

Officials said detectives were able to develop Enfiniti Webb as a suspect in this incident. She was taken into custody overnight by the County Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) Team.

Webb was charged with one felony count of Attempted Murder in the First Degree, one Felony count of Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony, and one count of Felony Reckless Endangerment in the First Degree.

She was processed and arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 11and is held in lieu of $625, 000 cash bail.
