Route 141 Motorcycle Crash Ties Up Tuesday Morning Commute

At approximately 6:41 a.m. New Castle County Paramedics, along with Cranston Heights Fire Company and Hockessin Fire Company personnel, were dispatched to the intersection of Centre Road and Barley Mill Road for a motor vehicle crash involving a motorcycle, according to Public Information Officer Senior Sergeant Abigail Haas.

Haas said New Castle County Paramedics arrived to find a motorcycle involved in a single-vehicle crash with one patient. The driver of the motorcycle was treated on scene by New Castle County Paramedics and Fire Company personnel and was transported via Delaware State Police Aviation to Christiana Hospital. The patient suffered injuries to his lower extremities and was in stable condition at the time of transport.

Several readers reported traffic at a stand still as crews worked to clear the accident.
