Troopers On Scene Of Shooting East Of Frankford, Details Few

Just before 3:40, this afternoon rescue crews responded to a home in the unit block of Honolulu Road east of Franforkd for reports of a shooting.

Delaware State Police Aviation’s Trooper 2 was also directed to respond to the scene. Not much is known about the incident. Locals report that the helicopter was over the home for over half an hour before departing.

Additional Sussex County Resources and area fire police have responded to the scene as well.

Delaware State Police released the following statement.

Frankford– Delaware State Police are currently conducting a criminal investigation involving a shooting incident in the area of Honolulu Road. As a result, an increased police presence will be seen in the area. At this time this investigation is in the very early stages and additional information will be released once it becomes available.
