Update: Two Dead After “Domestic Incident” In Bear

Earlier this morning (May 14), patrol officers from the New Castle County Division of Police were dispatched to the 700 block of Mill Creek Court, in the Victoria Woods for the report of a domestic incident involving a weapon.

When the patrol officers arrived at the scene, they discovered a 43-year-old female suffering from multiple gunshot wounds and an 80-year-old male suffering from a single gunshot wound. Emergency first aid was provided by the officers and EMS personnel. The female was transported to a local area hospital where she later succumbed to her wounds, and the male was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detectives from the New Castle County Division of Police Criminal Investigations Unit arrived at the scene and assumed the investigation.

This investigation is still in the early stages, but it has already revealed that there is no threat to the public. Additional updates will be provided as soon as the information becomes available.
