Middletown Neighborhood Ordered To Shelter In Place, SWAT Activity Reported

Update: Residents report that the incident that began around 2:30 appears to be over. One resident reporting that the SWAT team entered the home and another saying police are leaving.

No injuries have been reported. If County Police release details we will update this story.

Breaking Report

At around 3:00 Monday afternoon residents in Middletown’s Spring Arbor neighborhood received a reverse 911 call asking them to shelter in place due to criminal activity in the area.

New Castle County Police and DSP have locked down development in the area of Merrimac Ave. and Spring Arbor Drive.  Tactical officers have also responded to the scene.
