Police: Man Charged In Dover Shooting, Woman Charged With Tampering With Evidence

The Dover Police Department has made an arrest in the June 16th shooting of a 26-year-old man on Fairway Lakes Drive, according to Public Information Office Sergeant Mark Hoffman.

Hoffman said officers were called to Building F on Fairway Lakes Drive for a report of shots fired at 6:32 a.m. on Wednesday, June 16th, 2021. Responding officers located the male victim with gunshot wounds to his face, arm, and torso and immediately rendered aid until medical personnel arrived and transported him to Kent General Hospital for treatment.

On Tuesday Hoffman said Shakur Peck, 24, was identified as the suspect during the investigation. Peck was taken into custody by the Dover Police Department while staying at the Dover Inn located at 428 N. DuPont Highway. Tanesha Milbourne, 38, was also in the room and arrested for Tampering with Physical Evidence after a loaded handgun was found in the tank of the hotel room’s toilet said Hoffman.

Peck was committed to SCI on a $264,200 cash bond on the following charges stemming from the shooting and search of the hotel room:
-Attempted Murder 1st Degree
-Possession of Firearm by Person Prohibited (2x)
-Possession of Firearm During Commission of Felony (2x)
-Tampering with Physical Evidence
-Drug Paraphernalia
-Conspiracy 2nd Degree

Tanesha Milbourne was committed to Baylor Women’s Correctional Institution on a $64,200 cash bond on the following offenses:
-Possession of Firearm During Commission of Felony
-Conspiracy 2nd Degree
-Tampering with Physical Evidence
-Drug Paraphernalia
