Body Found In PA, Delaware Murder Suspect Found In Coney Island, NY

On July 9th, 2021 Officers from the New Castle County Division of Police were notified that the body of a 23-year-old James Jackson was located inside of a vehicle in Delaware County, Pennsylvania. The investigation revealed that his death was a homicide and the incident occurred at a residence in the 1600 block of Coleman Street in the community of Alban Park.

Through investigative means, detectives developed 28-year-old Sean Tyler as the suspect in this investigation and arrest warrants were obtained for murder in the 1st degree and other related charges, police said Monday.

Last Friday, July 16th, Tyler was apprehended by officers from the NYPD in Coney Island, NY. He was transported to a local NYPD precinct where he was later met by detectives from the New Castle County Division of Police Criminal Investigations Unit.

The detectives charged Tyler with one county of felony Murder First Degree, and one count of felony Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony, and Possession of a Firearm by a Person Prohibited.

Currently, Tyler is pending extradition back to Delaware.
