Cops Rammed By Vehicle During Two State Chase, I-95 Shutdown

Initial reports indicate that sometime before 3:00 today Chester County Police attempted to stop a dark-colored sedan, however, the sedan fled from the officer.

During the chase, the vehicle reportedly struck several  Chester County Police vehicles.  Delaware County Officers were then notified and asked to assist. Minutes later authorities notified Delaware State Police that the chase had crossed the state line.

Just before 3:00 on Tuesday afternoon rescue crews responded to  I-95 SB in the area of Harvey Road for a motor vehicle crash.

Arriving crews reported that a box truck had rolled over and ordered the road closes.

Sources tell FSU that the crash is due to a police pursuit and that several of the vehicles involved are police vehicles. Pennsylvania and Delaware and Delaware authorities are both on scene.

Sources also tell FSU that five subjects fled from the crash on foot and maybe in the area.

I95 SB is closed at Naamans Road – Expect this closure to last for an extended period of time.
