Is Delaware Getting A New Drive-In Theater? Fingers Crossed

If all is what it seems Delaware could be home to a new drive-in theater.

On Friday a post made its way around social media. The post says “It is official! The permits have been approved and we are moving forward! I am proud to announce that I will be opening a fully functional twin Drive-In movie theatre! It will be located behind the Lowes in Bear. If everything goes according to plan, we should be open in a few short weeks! Much more to come…..”

A look at the poster’s Facebook page showed that they have projectors in hand and the lot is marked with property markers. They also have a Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/beardrivein and a recently registered website.

A trip to the location showed that there are indeed property markers with pink ribbons. They also have a coming soon sign up along Route 7.

Could it be? Is Delaware going to see the greatness of a drive-in theater? We’ll keep you posted.
