Delaware State Police are investigating a shooting that occurred early Monday morning at the Crystal Loft Hukkah Lounge, according to police.
Officials said on July 19, 2021, at approximately 1:20 a.m., Delaware State Police were dispatched to the Crystal Loft Hukkah Lounge located at 1156 S. Bay Road in Dover. Responding troopers located two individuals and four vehicles struck by gunfire.
Police said the investigation determined that after a large party at the Crystal Loft Hukkah Lounge, an unknown number of suspects shot over 50 rounds in the business parking lot and the parking lot of Tony’s Auto, just south of the Hukkah Lounge. During the shooting, a 28-year-old woman and a 27-year-old man, both of Dover, were struck while fleeing the scene in vehicles. The victims responded to Bayhealth Hospital, Kent Campus, by private vehicles, were treated for minor injuries, and released.
