Police Identify Two Killed In Claymont’s Quadruple Shooting

County Police identify two people killed in Claymont shooting Wednesday.

Officials said at 9:40 p.m., patrol officers from the New Castle County Division of Police were dispatched to the area of Balfour Ave, in the community of Knollwood for a report of a shooting that had just occurred.

When the patrol officers arrived at the scene, they discovered two males and a female all suffering from gunshot wounds. Emergency first aid was provided by the officers and EMS personnel. However, the two males identified as 27-year-old Nathan Smith and a 16-year-old male, were pronounced dead at a local area hospital.

The 19-year-old female was treated and released with a gunshot wound to her arm. A fourth victim has been admitted to a local area hospital and is listed in serious condition. County Police in their initial report indicated that the two in the hospital were in critical condition.
