This Car Look Familiar? Investigators Need Your Help

On Wednesday, June 2nd at approximately 4:00 p.m. patrol officers from the New Castle County Division of Police were dispatched to the area of the 300 block of Cedar Avenue, in the community of Cedar Heights for the report of a shooting.

When the officers arrived at the scene they found Rajohn Hardaway, 28, who was suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper body. Officers attempted First Aid, however, Hardaway had already succumbed to his injuries.  Officers on scene asked for New Castle County Paramedics to continue into the scene. Upon their arrival medics made contact with a doctor at Christiana Hospital.  After the medics consulted with the doctor and explained the patient’s condition the patient was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Detectives investigating the shooting have concluded that numerous eyewitnesses were present at the time of the crime, police said previously.

The investigation has revealed that the vehicle in the photograph was in the vicinity of the scene at the time of the incident. Investigators are requesting that anyone with information pertaining to this vehicle or the identity of its occupants to please contact Det. Police said that a substantial cash reward is offered in exchange for information deemed to benefit the investigation or lead to the arrest and conviction of the individual(s) responsible for committing these crimes.
