Newark – Delaware State Police are on the scene of a motor vehicle accident that occurred just after 1:30 Saturday morning, on I95 southbound near Salem Church Road in Newark.
Initial reports from the scene indicate that a pedestrian had been struck. Follow-up reports indicated that two patients were seriously injured.
As a result of the crash, all of I95 southbound was closed at Route 273.
Police said the investigation is in the early stages.
