Inmate Who Escaped In April Back In Custody

Update: On Wednesday, September 1, 2021, Marquise Allen was apprehended after turning himself into the Wilmington Police Department. Court information pending.

The Delaware Department of Correction (DOC) is looking for Marquise Allen, an inmate Plummer Community Corrections Center (PCCC) in Wilmington.

Officials said that Allen’s whereabouts are unknown after he scaled the perimeter fence at the facility Thursday morning.   Allen leaving the facility was not authorized and a Warrant for Escape after Conviction has been issued, according to DOC Spokeswoman Kate Weber.

Community Corrections Centers are Level 4 facilities where the Department of Correction manages offenders who are transitioning back into the community. These centers are not secured like Level 5 prisons, as offenders are permitted to leave the facility to go to work, seek jobs, or attend approved treatment sessions.

Allen, 23,  is described and a black male, 5’05”, 155 pounds and was last seen wearing: black pants, black jacket and a white t-shirt

 

He is currently serving time for Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon, VOP – Attempted Assault
