Two Hospitalized After Crash That Closed I-495 Friday

At approximately 8:00 a.m., New Castle County Paramedics, Brandywine Hundred Fire Company, Claymont Fire Company, and Minquadale Fire Company were dispatched to Interstate 495 Northbound in the area of Edgemoor Road for reports of a motor vehicle collision with rollover.

Upon arrival, New Castle County Paramedics found a single vehicle on its roof with all occupants out of the vehicle. A 25-year-old female was treated for a possible head injury and shoulder injury. She was transported to Wilmington Hospital via Claymont Fire Company ambulance, accompanied by New Castle County Paramedics, in stable condition.

A 36-year-old female was treated for a possible head injury. She was transported to Wilmington Hospital via Brandywine Hundred Fire Company ambulance, accompanied by New Castle County Paramedics, in stable condition.

Delaware State Police are investigating the crash.

Responding Agencies included New Castle County EMS (Paramedics), Brandywine Hundred Fire Company, Claymont Fire Company, and Minquadale Fire Company.
