Two Injured In Rollover Crash That Closed I-495 Tuesday

At approximately 3:07 p.m. the New Castle County Paramedics (NCCEMS), were dispatched with the Minquadale Fire Company, Brandywine Hundred Fire Company, Goodwill Fire Company of New Castle, and Delaware State Police Aviation Unit to Interstate 495 Southbound at Terminal Avenue, for the report of a motor vehicle collision with entrapment according to S/Sergeant Abigail Haas.

Haas said paramedics arrived on scene to find an SUV which had rolled over, injuring its two occupants. A 38-year-old male passenger of the vehicle was treated on scene by the New Castle County Paramedics for possible head, neck, and back injuries before he was flown to Christiana Hospital. He is listed in serious but stable condition. The 33-year-old female driver was evaluated on scene by the New Castle County Paramedics for facial injuries before she was transported to Christiana Hospital in stable condition.

I-495 SB was closed in the area of Terminal Avenue while Delaware State Police investigated and cleared the accident.
