Investigators with the Delaware State Fire Marshal’s Office and New Castle County Police are on the scene of an early morning car fire with a fatality.
The incident began just before 10:00 Wednesday morning when firefighters were alerted to a car fire at the Rockwood Apartments off of Route 40 in Newark.
Initial reports from the scene indicate that firefighters arriving in the 1500 block of Gregory Drive in Newark found a body inside of a burning vehicle.
The investigation is in its early stages.
