SPCA To Hold Free Pet Wellness Events Starting This Weekend, Free Shots

The Brandywine Valley SPCA, in partnership with Petco Love, will hold a free pet wellness event in Harrington on Saturday.

The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., March 12, at the Delaware State Fairgrounds, located at 18500 South Dupont Highway, Harrington. They will be providing free rabies and distemper/FVRCP shots for dogs and cats.

The clinic will be a drive-thru format. Bring your pets in your car, drive up to a check-in station, then drive up to an outdoor vaccination station. Pets will be vaccinated while in the car if possible. Cats should be in carriers, and dogs should be leashed should they need to come out of the car for their vaccinations.

Two other events will be held, one in Chester County and one in Philadelphia. The Chester County event will be held at Reeceville Elementary School, located at 248 Reeceville Road in Coatesville, PA, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., March 12. The Philadelphia event will be held at the Philly Shipyard, Inc., located at 2100 Kitty Hawk Ave, Philadelphia, PA, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., March 19.
