Happening Now: Multiple Crimes Scenes In Wilmington, Hospital On Lockdown

Wilmington Police have locked down an area hospital and multiple crimes scenes after gunfire erupted just before 2:00 on Thursday.

At around 1:45 this afternoon police responded to reports of gunfire in the area of West 7th Street and N MonroeWest 7th Street and N Monro Street.

Police responding to the scene came across an suv fitting the description of a vehicle seen leaving the scene of the shooting in the area of Delaware Avenue and Adams Street.

Two subjects bailed from the suv, which had its back window shot out and fled on foot into the city. Police responded in large numbers and set up a  perimeter. Both subjects are believed to be in custody at this time.

Sources tell FSU that two victims were wounded during the gunfire.

Police are investigating the original shooting scene, the Delaware Ave. scene and a nearby cemetery.
