Police Reportedly Investigating A Marshallton-Area Shooting

Police are investigating a shooting that occurred Wednesday evening near Marshallton.

Just before 10:00 police and rescue crews responded to the Oakley apartment complex located in the 2100 block of Grafton Drive for reports of a shooting.

Initial reports indicate that when first responders arrived on scene they could not locate a victim. Police searching the area located the victim, a person in their 20s, at a nearby business.

Sources familiar with the incident tell FSU that a shooting scene was located and police found shell casings at that scene. Residents in the area said that the apartment complex and some nearby businesses on Kirkwood Highway were cordoned off with yellow police tape while officers investigated.
