Just In: Woman Seriously Injured In Dirt Bike Accident Sunday Afternoon

At approximately 5:17 p.m. the New Castle County Paramedics (NCCEMS) were requested to respond to the 600 block of Clymer Street, in New Castle, for the report of a dirt bike collision with injuries. according to NCCEMS PIO S/Sergeant Abigail Haas.

Haas said fire department units, first to arrive on the scene, confirmed a single patient at the scene. The 25-year-old female operator of the dirt bike became separated from it, striking the ground. She was treated by the paramedics for extremity injuries and possible internal injuries. The woman was transported to the Christiana Hospital, in Stanton, in serious condition.

The New Castle City Police is investigating the incident.
