Four Month Drug Investigation In Milford Leads To Three Arrests, Two Released

The Milford Police Department (MPD) has ended a four-month a four-month-long investigation into illegal drug sales with three arrests, according to Public Information Officer, Sgt. Robert Masten.

Masten said MPD’s Drug Unit and Special Operations Group  executed a search warrant in an apartment in the 100 block of Bright Way  on July 28, in the early morning hours,

MPD’s Special Operations Group initiated the execution of the search warrant by taking Latonya M. Burton, 38 of Milford, Semaj  Eley, 19 of Harbeson, and James Eley, 19 of Milford, into custody in the apartment.

Further investigation led to the seizure of cash, heroin, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia said Masten.  Burton was charged with Maintaining a Drug Property, Endangering the Welfare of a Child, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  She was presented at the Justice of the Peace Court #2, where she was released on $3100.00 unsecured bond.

Semaj Eley was charged with Possession with the Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance, Conspiracy 2nd Degree, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Possession of a Controlled Substance. Eley was presented at the Justice of the Peace Court #2, where bail was set at $14,200.00 cash.

James Eley was charged with Possession with the Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance, Conspiracy 2nd Degree, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Possession of a Controlled Substance.  James Eley was released on his own recognizance.
