Latest Dover Shooting Victim Uncooperative With Investigators Police Say

The Dover Police Department is investigating a shooting that left a 23-year-old Dover man injured Sunday morning, according to Master Corporal Ryan Schmid.

Schmid said officers responded to Bayhealth Kent Campus at 4:49 a.m. for the report of a male with several gunshot wounds. Officers contacted the victim, who advised that he was in the area of South New Street and West Reed Street when he was shot. The victim was uncooperative with Detectives and would not provide any additional information or suspect description.

Officers checked the area where the victim stated he was during the shooting and located several spent shell casings from this incident.
