On January 29, 2023, the Seaford Police Department investigated an incident in which a suspect approached a family at a business in the Seaford Village Shopping Center according to police.
Officials said the suspect, identified as Habiel Calixte, 36, of Seaford, allegedly, asked to “purchase” a child and grabbed the child by the arm. The suspect was chased away by a family member.
Patrol Officers were able to locate Calixte a short time later and arrested him for Criminal Solicitation 2nd (Felony), Dealing in Children (Felony), and other related charges.
Calixte was presented to JP Court 3 and committed to SCI on secured bond, pending a future court appearance.
