Pedestrian Reportedly Struck And Killed In Newark Thursday Night

The Delaware State Police are reportedly investigating a fatal accident involving a pedestrian.

Just after 10:00, Thursday evening rescue crews from Aetna Hose, Hook, and Ladder along with University of Delaware Ambulance crews, New Castle County Paramedics, Delaware State Police, and Trooper 4 were dispatched for reports of a pedestrian struck.

The crews responded to Otts Chaple Road in the area of W Chestnut Hill Road where they found a pedestrian that was reportedly struck and killed.

Crews closed the road while the investigation and accident scene were cleared.
