Officials ID 72-Year-Old Dover Homicide Victim

The Delaware State Police are currently investigating an incident that unfolded in Dover Sunday evening, leading to the death of a 72-year-old woman.

Authorities responded to a report on June 25, 2023, at approximately 5:20 p.m., which led them to a home on Case Ridge Road in Wolf Creek. Upon arrival, they discovered the lifeless body of Denise Wood inside her residence. The circumstances surrounding her death have prompted the Homicide Unit to take charge of the investigation police said Tuesday.

Law enforcement agencies have yet to provide details regarding the cause of Wood’s death or any potential suspects involved. The Homicide Unit is actively pursuing leads and gathering evidence. As the investigation is still in progress, authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward.
