5-Year-Old Seriously Injured In Dog Attack Friday

In an incident that occurred on Friday morning around 10:30, a five-year-old child was seriously injured in a dog attack on Franklin Street in Wilmington.

The young patient was transported to AI DuPont Children’s Hospital by ambulance with what are reported to be serious injuries. The incident prompted a rapid response from rescue crews, Wilmington Police, and animal control.

According to initial reports from the scene, the caller reported that the child was attacked by a Pit Bull.
