Rollover Crash Sends Two To Hospital Thursday Night

On Thursday evening, at approximately 7:30 PM, rescue crews from the Wilmington Fire Department, St. Francis, and New Castle County Paramedics responded to an incident at the intersection of N Shipley Street and W 2nd Street in Delaware.

The incident involved a rollover crash and initial reports indicated that there was a potential entrapment situation. However, as crews were en route to the scene, they received updated information that the driver had managed to self-extricate from the vehicle and was not trapped inside.

Upon their arrival at the scene, crews assessed the situation and confirmed no entrapment. A second ambulance was requested.

Command placed the incident under control at 7:45 with two patients were transported to Wilmington Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Wilmington Police are investigating the incident.
