Police Investigating Monday Morning Shooting

Wilmington Police are currently investigating a shooting that took place inside a residence located in the 500 block of East 6th Street Monday morning.

Officials said the incident, which occurred at approximately 3:07 a.m., resulted in a 27-year-old male sustaining gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to the hospital where he is reportedly in stable condition.

As the investigation into this shooting continues, the Wilmington Police Department is ongoing. They are seeking the cooperation of the public in gathering more information.
