Woman Found Stabbed To Death In Wilmington Park

Wilmington Police are investigating a fatal stabbing incident that occurred over the weekend.

Officials said on February 11 at approximately 7:30 a.m., police were called to the 600 block of South Franklin Street, in Kosciuszko Park, in reference to a 59-year-old female who was deceased at that location.

Investigators began a death investigation in conjunction with the Delaware Division of Forensic Sciences, which determined on February 12 that the victim’s death was the result of a fatal stabbing incident.

On Wednesday, January 31, 2024, Wilmington Police found the body of a Newport woman in Wilmington’s Flats neighborhood. Police have identified the body as that of 36-year-old Jessica Blevins the News Journal reported.
 
Police have not released many details about either death.
