Man Facing Felony Burglary, Auto Theft Charges, Released On OR

Delaware State Police arrested 37-year-old John Ottolini of Lewes, for Rehoboth Beach restaurant burglary on Wednesday.

Officials said on February 15, 2024, troopers responded to Agave Mexican Restaurant, located at 19178 Coastal Highway in Rehoboth Beach, for a report of a burglary that occurred in the early hours of February 14, 2024.

When troopers arrived, they learned that the suspect gained entry through an unlocked door. Once inside, the suspect removed money, alcohol, and keys to a Ford Transit van from the restaurant according to police. The suspect left the restaurant and stole the van added police. Troopers recovered the van the next day. The investigation led detectives to John Ottolini as the suspect in the burglary, and they obtained a warrant for his arrest.

On March 27, 2024, Ottolini was arrested and taken to Troop 4, where he was charged with Burglary Third (Felony), Theft of a Motor Vehicle (Felony), and Theft Under $1500. He was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 2, and released on his own recognizance.
