Bicyclist Reportedly Struck And Killed Thursday Night Near Newark

On Thursday night just after 9:40, emergency crews were dispatched to the area of 600 Salem Church Road in Newark, following reports of a collision involving a vehicle and a bicyclist.

Upon arrival at the scene, first responders discovered a male victim with severe injuries. Subsequent updates confirmed that the victim succumbed to his injuries and was declared deceased at the location.

The Christiana Fire Company, New Castle County Paramedics, and local law enforcement agencies were among the units that responded to the incident.

Salem Church Road remained closed for several hours as police conducted an investigation into the circumstances of the accident.
