School Bus Stolen In Newark Found In Virginia

On Friday, May 17, 2024, at approximately 9:50 a.m., the New Castle County Division of Police was notified of the theft of an unoccupied, unattended yellow school bus from the unit block of Marrows Road. The bus, identified by the signage “Rohan’s Bus Service Inc” and numbered 850, also displayed Delaware license plate C65296. Its last known position was at the Brookside Shopping Center.

Subsequent reports, unconfirmed by the police, suggested the stolen bus might have been involved in a hit-and-run accident in Maryland. On Saturday, law enforcement officials located the stolen bus in Stafford County, Virginia.

Officials said additional details will be provided as they become available.
