Bicyclist Hospitalized After Colliding With SUV

New Castle County Police are investigating a crash that left a man hospitalized.

Officials said a bicyclist was struck by an SUV at the intersection of Greenbank Road and Centerville Road on Thursday morning. Crews from New Castle County Paramedics and the Cranston Heights Fire Company were dispatched to the crash at approximately 9:04 a.m.

Upon arrival, emergency responders found a 51-year-old male bicyclist who had collided with the SUV. New Castle County Paramedics assessed and treated the individual for non-life-threatening injuries at the scene.

The bicyclist was subsequently transported in stable condition to Saint Francis Hospital in Wilmington by a Cranston Heights Fire Company ambulance. The circumstances leading to the collision are currently under investigation by New Castle County Police.
