Wilmington Police are currently investigating a shooting that took place just before 7:00 Saturday evening. in the 500 block of North Monroe Street.
Officials said officers responded to the scene and discovered that an 18-year-old male had sustained gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to the hospital, where he is reported to be in stable condition.
Authorities are actively working to gather more information about the incident, and the investigation remains ongoing.
