Man Fatally Shot In Dover Monday

The Dover Police Department is investigating a shooting, that resulted in the death of a 50-year-old Dover man on Monday.

Officials said the investigation began at 3:46 p.m. when the Dover Police Department received the report of shots fired in the unit block of South Governors Avenue. Officers responded and located the victim, who had sustained several gunshot wounds to his upper body.

The victim was transported to an area hospital and later airlifted to Christiana Hospital for additional treatment. The victim died as a result of the injuries sustained during this incident.

The victim’s name is being withheld until the family is notified.
