Two Injured In Marsh Road Crash Friday

At approximately 10:39 a.m., New Castle County Paramedics, the Claymont Fire Company, Delaware State Police Aviation (Trooper 4), and an ambulance from the Brandywine Hundred Fire Company were dispatched to a motor vehicle collision with entrapment in the 2000 block of Marsh Road in North Wilmington.

Upon arrival, units found a two-vehicle collision involving a two-door sedan and a commercial box truck. The driver of the sedan was trapped and was extricated by firefighters in approximately 10 minutes.

The male driver of the sedan, in his 20s, was transported by Delaware State Police Aviation (Trooper 4) to Christiana Hospital in serious condition with head, internal, and extremity injuries. The driver of the box truck, a male in his 50s, was transported by a Claymont Fire Company ambulance to Wilmington Hospital in stable condition.

Delaware State Police is investigating the collision.
