Charged With Terroristic Threats To School, Released On OR

The Delaware State Police have arrested 18-year-old Malik Cooper of Magnolia after he made a threat of violence to Caesar Rodney High School on Tuesday police said Thursday.

Officials said on December 10, 2024, the School Resource Officer assigned to Caesar Rodney High School, located at 239 Old North Road in Camden, was contacted about a threat of violence that had been made towards the school on social media and by text message. Due to the threat, additional law enforcement responded to the school to ensure everyone’s safety.

Through investigative means, detectives identified Malik Cooper as the person who made the threat and obtained a warrant for his arrest according to police.

On December 11, 2024, Cooper turned himself in at Troop 3. He was charged with Terroristic Threatening – Reckless Disregard, and Risk, Inconvenience to a School (Felony). He was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 2, and released on his own recognizance.
