Rollover Crash In Newark Sends Two To Hospital

Delaware State Police are investigating a two-vehicle collision that resulted in a rollover and sent two people to the hospital Friday night in Newark.

The crash occurred at approximately 8:48 p.m. on April 18, 2025, at the intersection of East Chestnut Hill Road and Marrows Road. NCCEMS Assistant Public Information Officer Oliver Kocher reported that New Castle County Paramedics came upon the scene and found one vehicle overturned. They requested assistance from Aetna Hose, Hook, & Ladder Company of Newark and University of Delaware EMS.

Emergency crews treated a 47-year-old male patient who suffered injuries to his head, upper body, and extremities, with suspected internal injuries. He was transported in serious condition to Christiana Hospital by Aetna Hose, Hook, & Ladder Company ambulance, accompanied by New Castle County Paramedics.

A second patient, a 43-year-old female, sustained injuries to her extremities. She was treated on scene and taken to Christiana Hospital in stable condition by University of Delaware EMS, also accompanied by paramedics.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation. Authorities have not released additional details regarding the incident or those involved.
