Motorcyclist Airlifted In Critical Condition Following Crash Thursday

LEWES, Del. — A motorcyclist was airlifted in critical condition Thursday morning following a crash at the intersection of northbound Route 1 and Nassau Road in Sussex County.

At approximately 7:51 a.m., emergency responders from the Lewes Fire Department, Sussex County Paramedics, and Delaware State Police Aviation were dispatched to the scene for a reported motorcycle collision. Upon arrival, crews found one patient with serious injuries.

Due to the severity of the injuries, DSP Aviation’s Trooper 2 transported the patient yo Christiana Hospital in Newark in critical condition.

Delaware State Police are investigating the crash. No additional details have been released at this time.
