50-Year-Old Gunned Down Monday Night

A fatal shooting is under investigation by Wilmington Police following an incident that occurred Monday evening in the 700 block of North Franklin Street. Officers were dispatched to the scene at approximately 10:02 p.m.

Upon arrival, police located a 50-year-old male suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Despite emergency medical efforts, the man succumbed to his injuries.

Investigators have not released the identity of the victim, and no information has been provided regarding possible suspects or a motive. Authorities stated that the investigation is active and ongoing.
